Traveling to Orlando, Florida

Orlando is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and every year millions flock here to enjoy the weather, the theme parks, and take off on trips to other parts of Florida. This destination is perfect for families traveling with children as the infrastructure is world-class, hotels are affordable and kid-friendly and there are so many activities to keep the little ones engaged. If you have kids and can’t figure out where to go, you should investigate booking some flights to Orlando.

Walt Disney World Resort is the top destination for anyone coming to Orlando – this is probably the most iconic theme park in the world and it does not disappoint. Here you will find a bevy of different theme parks including the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Blizzard Beach. It is recommended that families book a pass which will allow them to visit numerous parks and dedicate at least three days to this –there is so much to see. Thankfully, the folks at Disney have also worked to make it attractive for adults and there are good dining options for those whose palate is a tad more sophisticated than the cheeseburger crowd. One great place to try is the Bistro de Paris in Epcot which has fantastic French food.
Beyond Disney World Resort there is still a bevy of great things to do in Orlando: there are plenty of theme parks including Universal Orlando and the incredibly popular Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Of course, some people may want to have to do something besides head to theme parks, and in this Orlando will not disappoint. A great start is the Orlando Wetlands Park where you can enjoy bird-watching or go for a bike ride and take in some of Florida’s incredible scenery. The Cornell Fine Arts Museum is another nice place to visit, especially if you want to introduce your children to some great American art alongside their induction into the cartoonish theme park world.
Above all, Orlando is a family destination. Couples and adults may want to venture outwards into the Keys, or up to Jacksonville. Those with children, however, will find themselves perfectly set up for an easy and enjoyable holiday – and that is why this destination will always be popular.
