Bolivia

Bolivia is a democratic republic in central South America neighboring Brazil to the north and east, Paraguay and Argentina to the south, Chile to the southwest, and Peru to the west. Bolivia is a gorgeous, geographically diverse, multiethnic, country that shares with Peru the control of Lake Titicaca. It is a great travel destination for tourists that love to explore the culture and tradition of South America and a place where you will see a huge range of attractions. 
   Air travel is the most popular with tourists arriving at Bolivia’s main airports located in La Paz to the western side of the country and in Santa Cruz to the east. Traveling by bus is also common for tourists through a land border at the north-east of Chile/ South-West of Bolivia was an international driver’s license is required but at times EU or US driver licenses are accepted. Traveling from Argentina to Bolivia by bus is also frequent. It is also common for tourists to arrive in Bolivia by boat, by navigating from the port city of Puno, in Peru, over Lake Titicaca.

The western highlands of the country are situated in the Andes Mountains and include the Bolivian Altiplano which shelters numerous bird species and offers a great hiking opportunity to visitors.
The eastern lowlands include large sections of Amazonian rainforests and Chaco known worldwide for harboring some very rare snake species and a host of many other reptiles. The climbing to the highest peak; Nevado Sajama at 6,542 meters located in the department of Oruro is always a refreshing experience. Lake Titicaca a great site for water sports such as sport fishing and boat riding is located on the border between Bolivia and Peru.
A visit to some of Bolivia’s national parks is also a great vacation activity. The most popular national parks with tourists are the Amboro and Carrasco National parks. The two national parks are set in the most biodiverse section of the country full of rivers, waterfalls, mountains, and canyons. It’s exhilarating to explore these amazingly lovely geographical features. Boat riding and sport fishing on the rivers bird watching hiking among others are some of the activities you can enjoy while visiting these two national parks.
The other interesting national parks are the Madidi National Park — Located a few miles north of Apolo and is one of the world’s most extensive biodiversity park, the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park — very remote and astoundingly beautiful Amazonian park, and home to the awesomely majestic Cataratas Arcoiris waterfall and the Sajama National Park — with the lovely Andean landscapes and Bolivia’s highest mountain, Nevada Sajama.
