Phi Phi Island, Thailand

Phi Phi Island is one of the most important places to visit in Thailand. Some will say it’s because we can see it in the movies, but that is not the only reason to land in Phuket and to visit this place. You cannot be disappointed, because this is a very attractive island. When you travel with the boat, the first thing you can see is clear cliffs, that seem to come out from the sea, but when you pass them all you can see is the wonderful beach that can leave you without a breath.
You will love it. The other thing why you must visit this place and love it at the same time is because only a few places are like this one: peaceful and quiet. Phi Phi Leh is an island with no peoples on it, and the other Phi Phi Don has no roads.
Maybe you will say that you want to go but you cannot afford it. Well, you will be amazed by the arrangements for every budget. Traveling with boat, Phi Phi Islands are only 45 minutes away from Krabi. If you’re interested in snorkeling, you can stop at Bamboo Island and Hin Klang. Phi Phi Ley is one of the islands that are well-known for the location and scenes of the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo Di Caprio.
Krabi also is one of the exotic destinations where you want to go, with excellent beaches, but especially for the awesome limestone cliffs that overhang into the sea. Those who are interested in diving can visit The Similans Islands. Visiting them is possible only with the extended cruise, and there are some companies offering tours with 5 days and 4 nights, and of course with the arrangement comes and 1 or 2 diving. You can also travel from Phuket, to see these places.
It seems that Phi Phi is separated into two islands: Ko Phi Phi Don known for the sea restaurants, coffee shops, and bars where you can listen to reggae music. There are no roads here so there´s no need for motorbikes or cars. Ko Phi Phi Leh is also one of the islands and is smaller than Ko Phi Phi Don. Arriving by boat is the only possible way to come to these islands.
Phuket is daily connected to most major Asian and European airports, but there are direct flights from North America to Penang, Malaysia. The most perfect time of the year, when you can visit Ko Phi Phi is from November through January. At this time, air contains the lowest percentage of moisture, the water is so peaceful and the sky is very clear.
Humidity in the air during the rainy season will make you sweating very much, although the sun steel heating. The water is not good for snorkeling or diving. Because of the waves, it’s only good for swimming. December is the season when everything is occupied, and if you want to stay in the upper-class hotel, you’ll have to make a reservation in advance. If you can’t manage to reserve in the hotel, don’t be disappointed. Here are the huts that buy the beach that are unoccupied. I am telling you this because when we arrived on Christmas Eve, we didn’t have a reservation, but we found a hut that was available and laying over the sand.
