Despite its passive nature, the water is inviting for thrilling activities such as parasail, snorkel, kayak, banana boat ride, and deep sea fishing, as well as intimate dinner cruises. There are rental facilities and tour guides all over the place, assuring that tourists won’t miss out on the fun the beaches bring.

Sawgrass Mills Mega Mall, standing on the city’s west, is by far the grandest shopping mall here. Housing over 300 retail shops of local brands and famous designer brands, Sawgrass Mills is named as one of the biggest malls in America. Galaria is also a favorite spot of tourists not only because of its excellent line-up of shops, but also because of its close proximity to the beach which only requires a 10-minute walk from the Sunrise Boulevard beaches. Conversely, there are flea markets, weekend markets, antique shops, souvenir stores, art galleries, and quaint cafes dotting the metropolis.
