Bangalore, India is the third largest city in India and the capital of Karnataka state. Surprisingly, a recent survey rated the city to be the most liveable Indian city, beating famous cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi and Chennai. It is also the 12th cleanest cities in India and has in the past been named ‘Pensioner’s Paradise’ and Garden City of India’. While Bangalore City is not famously known as a famous tourist city, the truth is that there is much to see and do. However, if you are short of time, taking a city tour will do you great as you will appreciate what Bangalore has to offer.
Thankfully, city tours in Bangalore do not require payment of entry fees to attraction centers. However, just like other areas in India, foreigners are charged more than local visitors. One of the landmarks in the city is the Vidhana Soudha which is Karnataka’s legislative house which features a modern design and has a Dravidian style based architecture.
Vikasa Soudha is an ultra modern building construction that features a classic style and is also a landmark in the city alongside Seshadari Lyer Memorial, Bangalore Palace and Tipu Sultan’s Palace. Just as you would expect in a typical Indian city, Bangalore is a home to many temples with notable ones being the Bull Temple, Maha Bodhi Society Temple, Shiva Temple, Banaswadi Hanuman Temple, Ragi Gudda and Mukti Naga Temple among others. There are also several churches in Bangalore like the Holy Trinity Church, St. Mary’s Basilica, Shelter House Church and others.
So, what can you do in Bangalore? Well, just as there are so many things to see in the city, there quite a lot that you can do starting with sports and outdoor activities. Cycling is a popular activity in Bangalore as well as Bouldering/ climbing, Kayaking and you can also watch some cricket matches. The Nandi Hills offer a great destination for hill climbing while you should also visit the Fever Pitch base camp for camping, water sports, paintball and other adventure activities.

Considering that the city is heavily bestowed with aqua sportsmen, rock climbers and the aero sportsmen, there are many adventure clubs like Fever Pitch Holidays, Nature Admire, Thrillophilia and Angel.
