Grenada – Caribbean ”Spice Isle”

Grenada is an island country comprised of three larger islands and several small islands located at the south end of the Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean Sea. The three islands are; Grenade, Carriacou, and Petit Martinique. Its capital city is st. George ’s. Grenade neighbors Saint Vincent to the southwest, Venezuela to the northeast, and Trinidad and Tobago to the northwest. 
Tourists traveling to the grenade by plane will land at the Maurice Bishop International Airport, which is on the main island of Grenada. It is about 4 miles from the capital of St. George. Some of the international curious that often use the airport are; British Airways, American Eagle, American Airlines, Monarch, Air Canada (winter season), Virgin Atlantic (UK), Liat, Caribbean Airlines among others. Many cruise ships also make a stopover at st George, especially between October and May.

Amazement parks and national parks which offer a wonderful opportunity to visitors to explore and enjoy nature at its best. For example, the Levera National Park which is located at the island’s northeastern shore accords visitors such interesting places such as the bird watch bridge and the Levera pond. It also has an information center where visitors go to get all the information they need about the park and its animals.

The Grand Etang National park houses several lovely tourist destinations. These include the Fedon’s Camp Trail, the Morne La Baye Trail, and the Concord Falls and Trail. Visitors can also tour the famous Seven Sisters Falls and the Mount Qua Trail.

The Grand Anse Bay found near Saint Georges another popular tourist destination, loved for its golden sand beach and the numerous restaurants and hotels along the beach where tourists can relax dine and sleep.
Located in Saint Georges, the Fort George was constructed in 1705 on top of a hill so it provides a nice view of the entire city. On a visit to this historical monument, you will find the fortifications, town walls and gates fascinating.
Lake Antoine near Tivoli is a famous tourist destination because it is an extinct volcano’s crater. River Sallee Boiling Springs is also a major crowd puller around the lake. Also, there are sulfur deposits on the sides of the lake.
The Tyrrel Bay in Carriacou is the best spot to enjoy water activities like swimming, yachting, and diving. It features a large beach where tourists have fun and relax. Grenada is a small country that features numerous historic attraction and natural wonders.
