The Palm Islands, Dubai

The Palm Islands are an attraction that is an artificial archipelago built in Dubai. The archipelago is made up of three islands: the Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira and each forms the shape of a palm tree. The palm islands are situated on the United Arab Emirates coast in the Persian Gulf. The palm islands have added about 500 kilometers of beaches to the city of Dubai. The palms islands are made of the sand dredged from the bottom of the Persian Gulf. The sand was sprayed by the dredging ships, which were guided by highly advanced global positioning apparatus on to the precise required spot.

Palm Jumeirah has added about 78 kilometers to the coastline of Dubai city. The island is made up of a tree trunk, a crown with 16 fronts, and a surrounding crescent island that forms the breakwater. The Jumeirah Palm island is a retreat and residential area leisure, relaxation, and luxurious living.
